The National Care Awards were such a success this year: not only did we win Carer of the Year; but Mary Callaghan, one of our Home Managers, took part in a competition on the night and won her home (Tudor Lodge) an interactive projector called an "Omivista Mobii".
What is an Omivista Mobii?
Omivista Mobii is a fully customisable, height adjustable gesture controlled interactive system that works on any surface: floor or table. With over 300 interactive apps, and over 6 effects, service users can work together, or on their own depending on what is needed. The systems helps develop hand and eye co-ordination, working together in a team, physical movement, balance, speech and a whole lot more. The system can be customised to incorporate pictures and sound from service users or family and staff, and they can even have their favourite music playing.
We cannot thank Omi enough for their donation, and it is clear to see the positive impact this has already had on our residents at Tudor Lodge.
